PURPOSE: To inexpensively obtain ceramide for a humectant component, etc., of skin in large amount by carrying out hydrolysis or enzymatic decomposition of erythrocyte or the residue after producing hemoglobins from the erythrocyte or sphingomyelin lipids extracted from the erythrocyte. CONSTITUTION: Erythrocyte, the residue generated when hemoglobins are produced from the erythrocyte or spingolipids (e.g. sphingomyelin) obtained by extracting the erythrocyte is hydrolyzed using a strong acid or is subjected to enzymatic decomposition using an immobilized enzyme, etc., obtained by immobilizing a crude enzyme obtained by extracting with dichloromethane, etc., from a cultured solution of Bacillus cereus (IAM1208) to inexpensively provide the objected ceramide useful as a humectant of skin, a treating agent for chapped skin, fine wrinkles, atopic dermatitis or as a cosmetic in large amounts. |
