PURPOSE: To obtain a shampoo composition low in irritation and excellent in foaming properties by combining a specific anionic surfactant with a prescribed amphoteric surfactant in a specific ratio and further two kinds of surfactants and/or a cationic polymer. CONSTITUTION: This shampoo composition comprises (a) a taurate type anionic surfactant of formula I (R<1> is an alkyl or an alkeny; M<1> is 1/2Ca or 1/2Mg), (b) an amidoamine type amphoteric surfactant of formula II or formula III [R<2> and R<4> are each an alkyl or an alkenyl; R<3> and R<5> are each CH2 COOM<2> (M<2> is H, an alkali metal, etc.), etc.; R<6> is CH2 COOM<2> , H, etc.] or an amide betaine amphoteric surfactant of formula IV (R<7> is an alkyl, etc.; (n) is 2-4, etc.), (c) an alkanolamide type surfactant of formula V (R<8> is an alkyl, etc.), and (d) a cationic surfactant or a cationic polymer and is composed of 10-60wt.% of the components (a)+(b) in the ratio of the component a/b of (5-1)/5, 1-10wt.% of the component (c), 0.1-5wt.% of the component (d) and the rest of water. The shampoo composition is excellent in fingers passing and combing and finishes dry natural hair dressing. |
