PURPOSE: To facilitate relevant translation and to prepare an effective relevant translated word book. CONSTITUTION: An objective document described in a language A recorded in an electronic, magnetic or optical medium 101 is read through a reader 102, the read object document is displayed on a display device 104 and corresponding to the instructed word in the language A in the objective document instructed on the display device by pointing equipment 105, a word dictionary previously recorded in an electronic, magnetic or optical medium 106 is retrieved. The group of translated words in a language B corresponding to this instructed word on the word dictionary is read out, the read translated word group is displayed on the display device 104 and the translated word in the language B selected out of the displayed translated word group by the pointing equipment 105 and the instructed word in the language A are paired and recorded in the word book on a magnetic or electronic medium 109. |
