PURPOSE: To easily constitute an air gap, and to diffuse harmful light at the edge part to effectively remove the light. CONSTITUTION: The color separation optical system provided with three prisms is arranged between an objective lens and an image pickup means, and a frame- like spacer 34 is packed in the air gap 26 installed between the 1st and 2nd prisms, the frame-like spacer 34 has an inner edge part 34a which is formed to saw tooth-like, or wave-like recessed and projection parts. When a luminous flux made incident on the 2nd prism from the 1st prism runs into the edge part 34a of the spacer 34, the luminous flux is partly reflected by the recessed and projection parts plural times, then, attenuated and removed. |
