PURPOSE: To rearrange character strings each other while taking priority over any arbitrary one of cursive form of Japanese syllabary and square form of KANA. CONSTITUTION: Plural character strings to be an object are stored in an input data storage part 3 while using JIS codes. A selecting instruction for designating any one of 1st and 2nd conversion tables is inputted to an input part 2. A central processing part 1 successively reads the character strings stored in the input data storage part 3 and temporarily stores them in an output data storage part 6 and while referring to stored contents in any one of 1st and 2nd conversion tables 7 and 8 designated by the selecting instruction, the character strings stored in the output data storage part 6 are converted to 1st or 2nd relevant character codes for conversion. According to the program stored in a sort program storage part 5, the central processing unit 1 rearranges the character strings converted to the character codes for conversion, reconverts the character codes for conversion of the rearranged character strings to the original JIS codes and stores them in the output data storage part 6. |
