PURPOSE: To obtain a spiral ornamental cloth by bonding a great number of flaky pearl layer particles through an adhesive layer to the surface of woven fabric, having a color tone and luster similar to those of natural pearl and yet flexibility. CONSTITUTION: A shell having a pearl layer such as green turban is mixed with a grinding liquid such as water, an alcohol, etc., ground by a mixer, passed through a mesh filter, classified, flaky pearl layer particles having 20-1,000μm average particle diameter in the direction of polarized light are collected and the other powder is removed. The surface of woven fabric is coated with Japanese lacquer, cashew or an adhesive such a urethane resin having excellent flexibility in a solidified state in the whole area or a fixed pattern, the pearly layer particles are sprinkled and bonded to the surface of the woven fabric and optionally the pearl layer particle layer on the surface of the woven fabric is provided with a protecting layer of a transparent resin to give the objective spiral ornamental cloth.
