PURPOSE: To provide an optical integrated circuit using a laminated polarizer provided with a mode filter function and to provide an optical fiber gyroscope including the optical integrated circuit. CONSTITUTION: This optical integrated circuit is provided with a waveguide 24 formed on the upper surface of a substrate and the laminated polarizer 70 arranged so as to be crossed to the waveguide 24. An absorbing film, or a reflection film is formed on the surface of the laminated polarizer 70, and pin-hole-shaped or slit-shaped windows 52 and 54 are formed on this film. Then, the mode filter function is imparted by the windows 52 and 54. The laminated polarizer 70 is inserted into the groove 21A formed on the upper surface of the substrate 21, and fixed. The laminated polarizer 70 is arranged to be inclined to an optical path. |
