摘要 PURPOSE: To produce an aluminum alloy combining strength, extrudability and SCC resistance on high levels and to provide a method for producing an extruded material using the same alloy. CONSTITUTION: This high strength aluminum alloy has a compsn. contg., by weight, 8.0 to 10.0% Zn, 0.9 to 1.3% Mg, 0.45 to 0.55% Cu and 0.1 to 0.2% Zr, and the balance Al with impurities. Moreover, as for the method for producing an extruded material, A high strength aluminum alloy billet having the same compsn. is heated at 460 to 480 deg.C for 8 to 12hr, is subjected to homogenizing treatment and is thereafter extruded at 460 to 530 deg.C into a shape material having a required shape, and this shape material is cooled to a room temp., is thereafter held for 24 to 80hr at a room temp. and is furthermore subjected to heating treatment of two stages of 85 to 110 deg.C×7 to 9hr 145 to 165 deg.C×7 to 9hr.
