<p>The unit consists of a cylindrical rod (1) of a suitable length, made with an enlarged head (2) on its upper end and a tip of reduced diameter on its lower end which is attached to a central hole in a square fastening plate (3). The fastening plate has a hole (6, 7) on each side of the rod for a fixing such as a screw, and spikes (4) made by folding over the corners of the fastening plate. The unit is fixed to a timber beam by driving in the spikes and fixing screws through the holes, after which a concrete slab can be cast in situ on the beam, holding it reliable in place.</p> |
