PURPOSE: To display a reduction picture in an arbitrary position on a monitor by a memory controller having a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION: A picture memory 4 consists of an original picture area having the one-frame capacity and a reduction area having the one-field or smaller capacity. When a memory taking-in start signal is supplied from a memory controller 3, a picture signal is written in the reduction area with the reduction rate based on a reduction rate signal by the memory controller 3. The picture signal is transferred from the reduction area to the original picture area based on a reduction storage position signal by a picture processing part 5. |
