PRODUCTION OF POLYETHER-ESTER BLOCK COPOLYMER ELASTIC YARN

摘要

PURPOSE: To produce polyether-ester block copolymer elastic yarn with static electricity reduced and handleability improved by applying a specific finishing agent to the yarn under specific conditions during the melt-spinning to reduce the splash of the finishing agent and prevent the defects of winding packages caused by fluctuation of yarn tension. CONSTITUTION: A finishing agent used for producing block copolymer elastic yarn contains >=70wt.% of mineral oil and/or poly(dimethylsilicone) and 10-20wt.% of a partially phosphated polyaddition product of ethylene oxide to a higher alcohol. This finishing agent is made into an aqueous emulsion having a viscosity of 4-15 sentistokes at 25 deg.C and the emulsion is applied to the elastic yarn.
