PRODUCTION OF GOLF CLUB HEAD

PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing a golf club head with which efficient production is made possible. CONSTITUTION: This process for producing the golf club head comprises providing the golf club head with a head body which is successively provided with the peripheral wall 2 of a lower body 3 provided with the peripheral wall 2 at a bottom 1 and an upper body 4 and is opened on the front side and installing a face plate to the aperture of this head body. A welding member 7 which is formed to an approximately U shape and has a prescribed width is interposed between the end edges of both at the time of successively providing the peripheral wall 2 of the lower body 3 and the upper body 4. This welding member 7 is melted to integrate the peripheral wall 2 of the lower body 3 and the upper body 4, by which the golf club head is provided with the head body opened on the front side. The face plate is installed into the aperture of such head body.
