<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bifunctional toner particle which has combinedly excellent hot offset resistance, high mechanical strength at a room temperature and a low melting temperature and is turned into achromatic pigment or dye by specifying the content of toner resin and a resin structure in the toner particle containing polysiloxane modified resin as the toner resin. SOLUTION: Toner resin contains polysiloxane modified resin containing a polysiloxane part PS and the other polymer part POL by 3wt.% or more to the whole resin content. This modified resin contains a repetitive unit corresponding to one of formulas I to IV, and the other polymer part POL is induced from a polymer containing an oxygen containing group. Therefore, a large quantity of one or more kinds of this denatured copolymer can be introduced into the toner particle without adverse influence. Particularly, when the part POL is induced from a polymer (both a condensation polymerization polymer and an additional polymer) containing the oxygen content, the toner particle which has high mechanical strength at a room temperature and has very excellent hot offset resistance can be made.</p> |
