IC CARD FOR ON-VEHICLE TOLL RECEIVING EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: To provide a method for recording and holding information effective for practical use and to improve ease of use concerning the information and its quantity to be recorded and held in the toll on-vehicle receiving equipment and the IC card. CONSTITUTION: The on-vehicle equipment for automatically receiving a road toll is composed of two pieces of the on-vehicle toll receiving equipment having an IC card contact part 5 and an IC card 4, and the IC card 4 has a magnetic stripe part and a memory cell for holding the recorded information inside an IC chip without any power source and holds various kinds of information for automatically receiving the road toll. This IC card for on-vehicle road toll receiving equipment is shared with a conventional bank/credit card, is suitable for the toll systems of various toll roads and further can attain privacy protection, illegal use prevention and improvement in ease of use.
