<p>PURPOSE: To prevent a sleeve ghost phenomenon and a blotch phenomenon, and to stably form a high-grade image without image fogging and middle omission for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A toner layer is formed on a toner carrier 102 opposed to an electrostatic latent image carrier 100, so that an electrostatic latent image is developed on the process. The coat amount per a unit area of the toner layer formed on the toner carrier 102 is w/ρ=0.2 to 0.8 [w; toner coat weight (mg) per toner carrier surface 1cm<2>ρ; toner true density (g/cm<3> )] and the moving speed of the toner carrier surface on a developing area is 1.05 to 3.0 times as high as the moving speed of the electrostatic latent image carrier surface. The toner weight average diameter D4 (μm) is 3.5<=D4 <=6.5, and particle size distribution in which relation to the existence ratio N (number %) of particles having a size <=3.17μm on number particle size distribution satisfies 35--D4×5<=N<=180-D4×25 is provided.</p> |
