METHOD FOR DRIVING LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: To make it possible to decrease after-images and to decrease crosstalks. CONSTITUTION: This method for driving a liquid crystal display device comprises executing the voltage averaging driving of a display panel by successively impressing scanning electrode signals and data electrode signals on the display panel arranged with pixels having the constitution connected with liquid crystal elements and two-terminal type nonlinear elements in series in a matrix form. The scanning electrode signals switching to a level higher than the reference level (VM2) and a level lower than the reference level are impressed in a selection period when the on/off of these pixels are determined and the scanning electrode signals of the reference level are impressed in the non-selection period.
