PURPOSE: To directly operate the open/close operation of an open/close member without making an operating mechanism of a laser shutter and a power source switch, etc., complicated. CONSTITUTION: A latent image is formed on an electrophotographic photoreceptor by irradiating it with laser light in accordance with an image signal, and an image is formed by developing the latent image. The device is constituted of a laser shutter 24 interrupting the laser light, an open/close member capable of opening/closing with respect to the device main body, and an open/close detecting member 28 operating in accordance with the open/close of the open/close member. The device is also provided with a detecting sensor detecting the operation of the member 28, and a power source switch turning on/off a high voltage power source, and an operating part for operating the shutter 24, the member 28 and the above-mentioned power source switch is provided on the open/close member. |
