PURPOSE: To obtain a surface acoustic wave convolver and communication equipment using it with a sufficient anti-migration characteristic, excellent micromachining of an input interdigital electrode, without increase in a propagation loss due to increase in an electrode finger resistance in the input interdigital electrode or the like and without deterioration in the yield and reliability in wire bonding. CONSTITUTION: The surface acoustic wave convolver at least has input electrodes 12, 13 on a 1st major side of a piezoelectric substrate 11 to excite 1st and 2nd surface acoustic waves and an output electrode 14 to extract a convolution signal of the two surface acoustic wave signals by using a nonlinearity effect. In the surface acoustic wave convolver as above, at least the output electrode 14 is made of an aluminum alloy containing an impurity metal. |
