PURPOSE: To obtain a dielectric porcelain compsn. capable of firing at <=1,160 deg.C, satisfying X8R characteristics in spite of a high dielectric constant of >=1,000 and ensuring a low temp. variation of capacitance when DC bias voltage is impressed. CONSTITUTION: This dielectric porcelain compsn. consists of 97.5-99.95wt.% principal compsn. represented by the general formula 100-(a+b+c+d+ e)}BaTiO3 +aBi2 O3 +bNb2 O5 +cMaO+dMbO2 +eMc and 0.05-2.5wt.% 1st subsidiary component made of SiO2 -based glass. In the formula, Ma is at least one selected from among Mg, Ca and Zn, Mb is at least one selected from among Ti, Sn and Zr, Mc is at least one of oxides of Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Dy, Ho and Er as rare earth elements, each of (a)-(e) shows mol%, 1.0<=a<=6.0, 0.5<=b<=4.5, 0<=c<=4.0, 1.5<=d<=15.0 and 0.5<=e<=5.5. |
