PURPOSE: To obtain a mothproofing fiber or a mothproofing fiber product capable of arbitrarily setting used amount of a mothproofing agent, having high mothproofing effect and large durability to washing. CONSTITUTION: This mothproofing fiber product is obtained by treating a polyurethane elastic fiber using a mothproofing solution obtained by blending a mothproofing component with an emulsifier or a solubilizing agent and retaining the mothproofing component in the fiber. This mothproofing fiber is obtained by treating a polyurethane elastic fiber using a solution obtained by blending a mothproofing component with an anionic surfactant. Empenthrin is blended as the mothproofing component. The fiber is preferably obtained by treating a fiber using a mothproofing solution and treating the fiber with a solution containing a binder. The mothproofing fiber product includes e.g. mothproofing stocking, tights or socks, mothproofing hair band or wrist band, mothproofing supporters or mothproofing belly band. Durability is increased also in a panty hose difficult to retain the mothproofing agent.
