PURPOSE: To provide a valve actuator which can be attached simply, easily, and inexpensively to a pipe valve, and can be manufactured in light and small explosionproof structure, and is simple and easy of control and has low-speed high-torque performance. CONSTITUTION: A valve actuator, which is mounted on a partition valve having a valve body 3 for controlling the flow of the fluid, moving up and down with in a valve box 2, a valve rod 4 attached to the valve body at a right angle in the direction of the flow of fluid, and a sleeve 8 being supported rotatably by the valve box and besides is equipped with a threaded part to engage with the valve rod, is equipped with a gear 9A fixed on the same axis as the sleeve to it, a pinion 11 engaging with the gear, and an ultrasonic motor 15 fixed face to face to the valve box 2, in a pair above and below the pinion 11, and the output shaft 16 of the ultrasonic motor is engaged, on the same axis, with the shaft of the pinion 11. |
