<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a data eraser in which a flash memory is protected reliably against over erasure. CONSTITUTION: The eraser comprises a flash memory 101 and a control circuit 105 connected through a bus line 103. The eraser further comprises an NOR gate 106 for deciding whether all bits of data read out on the flash memory side has '0' or not, and an NOT gate 107 for deciding whether all bits of data received on the control circuit 105 side has '0' or not. When the decision results from the NOR gates 106 and 107 do not match each other, the control circuit 105 is interrupted to stop the data erase program of the flash memory 101.</p> |
