A colloidal prod. comprises micelles of an alkali and/or alkaline earth carbonate maintained in the colloidal state by an alkyl- or alkylaryl-sulphonate of an alkali or alkaline earth metal. In addn. it contains (maintained in the colloidal state by the surfactant of the pre-existent micellar structure) a prod. contg. Ca, P and S, resulting from the in situ reaction of CaO or Ca(OH)2 with a phosphorus sulphide and water. The structure of this prod. corresps to that of a thiophosphate or polythiophosphate of Ca.
