PURPOSE: To omit a process to remove an overcoat film on signal electrode leads, to improve the production efficiency and to use a nonphotosensitive overcoat agent by forming electrode leads through which electrodes contacting with the pattern of plural colors are lead out in an area out of the coating area for a overcoat film. CONSTITUTION: Plural numbers of pigment-dispersion resists such as black, red, green and blue colors are applied on a flat and transparent substrate such as a glass substrate by a micro-rod bar resist coating method, and then stripe patterns of plural colors such as black, red, green and blue are formed by a photolithographic method. Then an overcoat agent is applied on the stripe pattern of plural colors to obtain a color filter. In this method, the electrode lead 12 through which the electrodes contacting with the pattern 10 of plural colors are formed in the area outside of the coating area 14 for the overcoat agent 13. |
