Tubular plastics sheath element for bundling electrical cables together e.g. for motor vehicle

The cable sheath element is produced in a flexible plastics material and has a form that is of curved cross-section and can readily be compressed into a cylindrical shape (1) when placed around the cable bundle. The axial sides of the element are formed with profiled sections (4) shaped to receive clamps (5). The sections are formed with engaging register features (3) for alignment and the outer surfaces are grooved (8) for positioning clamps. The clamps have a U shape section (12) with an internal pipe (16) that locates in the grooves of the sheath. An alternative shape of sheath can also be formed.
