At least one collector container (1) of much smaller capacity than the storage container (16) is connected to it by a pipe (17). The top of each collector container has a feeder pipe (2) for conveying vaporised gas from a vaporiser (4) at high pressure. The bottom of each collector container has a discharge pipe (17,18) bringing liquefied gas at high pressure to the place of consumption. The collector container is insulated against heat exchange with the ambient air. The capacity of the collector container is between 1 and 10, preferably 1 and 5, and especially between 1 and 2 litres. A feeder pipe (17) leads from the bottom of the collector container to a vaporiser from which leads a pie (20) to the top of the collector container.
