SETPOINT GENERATOR

The setpoint generator of the invention makes use of the "pedal travel s" data item together with that on the "pedal force p", these data items being weighted in the input circuits (4, 5) and the corresponding partial setpoints p's and p'p being summed to form a setpoint p'Hz. Opposed weighting takes place: with a low force on the pedal (1), the pedal travels takes precedence while as the pedal force increases it is more heavily weighted. It is thus possible to obtain gentle braking, thus improving convenience and reducing wear on the components used.
