A process for mfg. clock faces, esp. in plastic involves: (a) clamping a carrier (1) with clock face-sized cut-outs (7) in a moulding unit such that the cut-outs form sealed moulding cavities; (b) injecting a material into one or more cavities (7) and allowing to cool; and (c) transporting the carrier to further processing stages. The process appts.. features: (a) a moulding unit comprising first (8) and second (9) dies between which the carrier is held; (b) a closed die position where the carrier cut-outs are sealed at their edges to form moulding cavities and an open die position for extracting the carrier; and (c) a nozzle with a shut-off and a feed line (11) for the injected material.
