Motor vehicle plug-in connector with integrated test lamp

A plug-in connector comprising a plug-and-socket outlet for motor vehicles or similar, has miniature test or monitoring lights mounted on the outer face of the plug i.e. one test or monitoring lamp being provided for each plug contact. With insertion of the plug into the socket outlet and after making contact as well as current flow, the test or monitoring lights illuminate.
