Prodn. of epsilon-caprolactam from cyclohexanone oxime

摘要

Prodn. of iota -caprolactam (I) comprises Beckmann rearrangement of cyclohexanone oxime (II) in the gas phase at 250-450 deg C on catalysts (III) consisting of MFI-zeolites with surface OH gps. in a symmetrical orientation towards one another due to the absence of central metal atoms. Also claimed are (i) a process for the prodn. of (III); and (ii) a process for regenerating (III) by treatment with pure nitrogen at 400-650 deg C.
