A coating material which can be hardened by radiation is applied to a carrier by one or more spray nozzles (5) or a spray bar. Also claimed is the lamination of a film (10) to a carrier (2) using an adhesive hardened by radiation where hardening and/or drying of the adhesive takes place at least partially before the carrier (2) and film (10) are combined to form the end product (13). The radiation source (8) is placed before the point where the carrier (2) and film (10) come into contact.
