<p>An adhesive applicator device (20) has a rotating brush assembly (398) which includes a cover element or sleeve (400) which allows only the lower ends of the bristles (404) to be exposed to air, while at the same time the sleeve is so dimensioned as to avoid interference with the deformation of the bristles to spread the adhesive over a workpiece surface. The device is especially suitable for water-based adhesives, in that it militates against the formation of a dry film within the bristles of the brush.</p> |
