The proposed method of preparing a fuel mixture for an internal combustion engine is based on the thermochemical conversion of part of the fuel stream in a special reactor-heater (3) with moderate energy consumption. The thermochemical conversion involves three stages, namely: flashing of the fuel to produce fractions in a sectional evaporator (1); separation and thermal processing of a suitable portion of the vaporised fuel in the reactor-heater (3) for the required period of time; cooling of the reaction products, after which the thermal processing products are mixed with the remaining flashing products. The proposed method is carried out with an apparatus for preparing the fuel mixture comprising a sectional evaporator (1), heat exchanger (2), reactor-heater (3), mixer (4) for mixing the light vapour fraction with the thermochemical processing products, an atomiser (5) for diffusing the liquid flashing residue into a stream of gasified processing products and a mixer (6) for mixing air with the processing products, and a regulator (7) for regulating the flow of air in the evaporator (1).
|
