Paper sheet applicator to perforation machine

The applicator (10) comprises a sheet retaining store and a take-off mechanism with several take-off units (20.1-20.3) which have suction posts on the underside and act timewise on one sheet front wide section (26), transversely to the sheet transport direction. The sheets to be taken from the store are deposited under a stop unit (30). The take-off units so movable and controllable as to pick-up a first sheet by suction under the stop unit and to move it upwards. From the first unit the sheet drops onto a second one by interrupting the suction. After a preset number of sheets they are further transported, while the first unit moves backwards.
