Manually installed protective wall in which the individual elements have quick action locks (5) at opposite dividing gaps (2). The side of each element directed towards the brickwork (9) of the building has a strip of sealing material (3). The individual elements have through holes (6) on the side edges which are aligned with the brickwork and lie outside the surface which the seal embraces. The individual elements have a bar (7) which acts as a spacer from the wall.
