<p>Compositions comprising cysteine protease, for example, from streptococcal species, find use in modulating growth of cells, in particular inhibition of cell proliferation, especially tumor cells. Cell growth inhibition compositions may additionally include an adjunctive agent. Methods for screening to identify tumor cells sensitive to the growth-modulating effects of the cysteine protease also are provided.</p> |
