<p>The invention relates to a sealing section (1) for use in tunnel segments and like building elements, manufactured from rubber, rubbery or plastic material, comprising a top surface (2), a bottom surface (3) and two flanks (4) joining the top surface and the bottom surface, with a number of channel-shaped recesses (5) extending under the top surface in the longitudinal direction of the sealing section, wherein the top surface is substantially convexly curved in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the section.
