The transmission system has the data to be transmitted sampled under control of a clock signal (T2) with a higher clock frequency than the data clock frequency, with corresponding recovery of the original data clock signal (T1) at the reception end. A number of data signals may be transmitted together by multiplexing to obtain a compound data stream, with corresponding demultiplexing at the reception end for separation of the individual data signals. |
