1346347 Disproportionation catalyst SNAM PROGETTI SpA 12 July 1971 [29 July 1970] 32642/71 Heading B1E [Also in Division C5] A disproportionation catalyst comprises oxides of (a) tungsten and (b) copper or a Gp VIII metal in an atomic ratio (b) to tungsten of 1:3 to 5:1. Specific Gp VIII metals mentioned are Fe, Co and Ni. The tungsten may be present, at least partially, in the form of a tungstate of the copper or Gp VIII metal. The composition may be supported, e.g. on silica, alumina, silica-alumina, or kieselguhr. In the Examples-cobalt, nickel, iron or copper tungstate on silica is formed by precipitating the tungstate from solution, mixing with a silica sol, drying and calcining. |
