HOWLING PREVENTION DEVICE AND ELECTRIC/ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT WITH HOWLING PREVENTION FUNCTION

PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of howling by synthesizing the opposite phase waveform to the waveform generating howling. CONSTITUTION: The sound inputted from an amplifier circuit 2 is divided for every frequency band by a sample-and-hold circuit 3 and the output level for each frequency band is detected by a level detection circuit 4. Continuously, the frequency band of the waveform generating howling and the output level are decided by a decision instruction means 6, the waveform data for generating the opposite phase waveform of the waveform is read out of an opposite phase waveform memory 7 and the opposite phase waveform is generated. Further, this waveform is converted into the opposite phase sound and the sound is synthesized with the sound inputted from the amplifier circuit 2 by a synthesizing circuit 10. Thus, because the only waveform generating howling is cut, also the waveform of other equipment of the same level is not required to be cut as a conventional device for which a filter is used and more valid musical sound can be obtained.
