<p>PURPOSE: To provide an electric water heater which can minimize the drain of hot water in a bathtub or water during heater inspection or heater replacement, and reduce the waste of hot water. CONSTITUTION: A heater 9 and a pump 10 are installed outside a hot water storage tank 1 while a water inlet pipe 11, which leads to the pump 9 from the lower part of the hot water storage tank 1 and a water outlet pipe 12 which communicates between the pump 10 and the pump 9 and an outlet pipe 13 which leads to the upper most area of the hot water storage tank from the heater 9 are also installed outside the hot water storage tank 1. The heater 9 and the outlet water pipeline 12 and the pump 10 are integrally installed to the upper part of a water heater external facing 17 outside the hot water storage tank 1 with a fixture 14, thereby forming one piece structure. Even when the hot water in the hot water storage tank 1 is discharged, and then boiled up from water, hot water is available readily. When inspecting or replacing the heater 9 or the pump 10, the hot water or water in the pump 10 is discharged while the discharge of hot water or water in the hot water storage tank 1 is restricted to a minimum, thereby minimizing the waste of hot water.</p> |
