PURPOSE: To obtain a power factor controller having advanced function in which a signal corresponding to the decision for connecting/disconnecting a power capacitor is outputted based on signals delivered from an operating condition setting section and an arithmetic section and then a signal for connecting/disconnecting a power capacitor, specified by a signal from a normal on/off decision section, is outputted. CONSTITUTION: A normal on/off decision section 3 receives an output signal 92Aa from an operating condition setting section 92A and outputs a signal 3a for normally throwing in or interrupting a specific power capacitor when the required capacity of power capacitor, being set at the operating condition setting section 92A, comes within a predetermined range. The normal on/off decision section 3 checks the information of the inputted signal 92Aa and outputs a signal 3a for normally interrupting a power capacitor being set with '0', if any, otherwise outputting a signal 3a for normally throwing in a corresponding power capacitor. |
