PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a light loss in an optical branch and the imbalanced light distribution of polarization dependency. SOLUTION: In an optical branch which has a base body 2 and an integrated light waveguide body structure and in which the integrated light waveguide body structure is composed of at least a single waveguide body 3 to join glass fiber and at least two branched waveguide bodies 7. The waveguide bodies have a contracted part 5 before a branch point. When these are arranged in the shape of a Y-shaped branch, the contracted part 5 has a first taper part 4 on the input side, and has a second taper part expanding in an output side branch width. |
