<p>PURPOSE: To improve productivity by eliminating stopping a press machine due to excessive reaction of a device for confirming follow-up of a die even when the die takes somewhat time in its return. CONSTITUTION: When a ram 13 is elevated after the execution of working, the conducting mechanism 41 on the side of the ram is energized and follow-up is confirmed by a grounding means through an upper die assembly 36. At the time of contact detection of the ram which is moved toward the top dead center and the upper die assembly which executes return motion, a 1st and 2nd allowable detecting times are preliminarily set, when the contact detection is between the 1st and 2nd allowable detecting times, it is judged that delay follow-up is generated and preliminary announcement is issued from a controller and, when contact detection is over the 2nd allowable time, it is judged to be non- follow-up, an alarm is issued and the press machine is stopped.</p> |
