PURPOSE: To obtain a salt compression-molded product good in a mold-releasing property without relating to the water content of a salt of raw material and having good water resistance and strong strength, even when molded with a low molding pressure, by adding a mold-releasing substance to the salt of raw material. CONSTITUTION: A salt of material is mixed with 0.1-2.0wt.% of a mold-releasing substance such as a starchy paste, a cellulose derivative, polyvinyl alcohol, bentonite, shell fossil, talc, zeolite, diatomaceous earth of α-starch and 0.5-15wt.% of a fatty acid salt such as fatty acid calcium, and subsequently compression-molded with a pressure of 500-2000kg/cm<2> . |
