PURPOSE: To reduce the rotational fluctuation of an intermediate transferring body. CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted of an electrifying means 4 for electrifying a photoreceptor 2, an exposing means 5 for exposing the electrified photoreceptor 2 and forming an electrostatic latent image, developing means 61 to 64 for developing the electrostatic latent image and forming a toner image on the photoreceptor 2, and the intermediate transferring body 3 arranged so as to be brought into partial contact with the photoreceptor 2 on which the toner image is formed. The device is provided with an upstream side transferring material carrying means 83 positioned on an upstream side from the transferring body 3 and carrying the transferring material 80, a transferring means 84 for transferring the toner image on the body 3 to the carried material 80, and a downstream side transferring material carrying means 85 positioned on the downstream side from the transferring body 3 and carrying the material 80 to the means 84. The carrying speed of the means 83 is controlled to be equal to or above the speed of the body 3, and equal to or below a specified upper limit value, and the carrying speed of the means 85 is controlled to be equal to or below the speed V2 of the transferring body 3 and equal to or above a specified lower limit value. Thus, a good image in which color slurring and the color irregularity are reduced can be obtained. |
