Textile treatment

A textile treatment composition which comprises; a textile binding agent which forms a chemical bond with the outer layer of the textile according to the formula (Ia): (Ia) and, a barrier agent which forms a chemical bond with the textile binding agent and which increases the surface tension of the textile. Methods for treating textiles with the treatment composition, and kits comprising the components are also provided.
