PURPOSE: To decrease the degree of abrasion and dirtiness for a thermal head, and to provide an excellent strippability for a heat-sensitive transfer material by a method wherein a dye layer is provided at one side of a support body while a back coat layer is provided at the other side, and the back coat layer is made to contain specified polyester-silicone copolymer. CONSTITUTION: In a heat-sensitive transfer material that forms color images on a recording paper on heat signals from a thermal head, a dye layer composed at least of heat sublimation dye and binder resin or a coloring material layer composed at least of pigments and/or dye and heat-soluble binder resin is provided at one side of its support body, and a back coat layer is provided at the other side. The back coat layer is made to contain a copolymer of a polyester part having a naphthalene ring and a dimethylpolysiloxane part, and being a polyester-silicone copolymer having a glass transition point of 60 deg.C or more. The polyester-silicone copolymer is hardened with a crosslinking agent. |
