PURPOSE: To allow the rapid, easy and sure injection of an acoustic medium into a cover for an ultrasonic search unit used for the ultrasonic search unit having an ultrasonic wave transmission and reception part mounted near the end of a wire. CONSTITUTION: This cover for the ultrasonic search unit has a tube part 20 for insertion of the wire for the ultrasonic probe and the tube body 22 in the tube part 20 has an aperture 23 at its front end and has a check valve 24 near the aperture. The acoustic medium 50 packed into the tube body 22 arrives at the check valve 24 and flows out of an opening hole 29, by which the acoustic medium 50 is packed. Even if the tube part 20 is inserted into a blood vessel, the blood pressure is larger than the pressure of the acoustic medium 50 and, therefore, the inflow of the blood to the ultrasonic vibrator 38 side does not arise. |
