<p>PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration in a screen due to an error by adding a re-transmission control function in the unit of frames to the transmitter. CONSTITUTION: A transmission control means 103 conducts coding to detect an error with respect to coded data of each frame to be sent and error detection of each frame of received coded data. Then, a processing means 101 controls a transmission control means 103 so that the means 101 issues a re-transmission request of coded data of a frame having an error when the transmission control means 103 detects an error of the received coded data and sends again the coded data of the frame when the re-transmission request is received. Thus, on the occurrence of an error, especially on the occurrence of an error of a frame subjected to in-frame coding, the frame is sent again to attain decoding at all times and deterioration in the image quality is prevented. When error occurs for many times, received data with a flag indicating reception of error added to them are stored in a storage means 102 and the data are skipped at decoding, then the image quality is improved furthermore and the deterioration in the transmission efficiency is prevented.</p> |
